The world cultural heritage is the common masterpiece of mankind and nature,and the precious spiritual wealth of mankind,which is of great significance to the development of mankind.Museums are one of the important channels for learning the history and culture of other countries,and the interpretation of the cultural relics plays an inevitable role in cultural exchanges.Mesa Verde National Park was listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in1978.This report is an excerpt from the author’s interpretation in the photo exhibition of Mesa Verde National Park held by Layton government,which mainly introduced the historical development of the North American Indian Pueblo tribe in the Midwest of the United States.In this report,the author provides some practical methods about the cultural untranslatability of the cultural relics interpretation and the difficulties of interpretation of relics in order to provide a guide for the future cultural relics interpretation.This report aims to help people to have a deep understanding of the history and culture of North American Indians and promote the cultural exchanges between China and America.This report includes four parts.The first and second parts mainly describe the background and basic information of the interpretation task.The third part is the main body,which analyzes the cases and discusses interpretation methods application under the guidance of the Interpretive theory,such as transliteration,amplification,omission,voice conversion,and sentence reconstruction.In the last part,the author draws a conclusion about this interpretation task,which could provide a guide and reference for the future cultural relics interpretation.
