The figure painting of Qing palace opera is an important part of the palace painting in Qing Dynasty.In the palace of Qing Dynasty,there is a kind of figure painting with silk as the carrier,meticulous painting and vivid image.There are a large number of figures in the painting.The figure dressing and make-up in the painting are very realistic.This kind of combination of painting and drama exists in the form of art,which is important to the life of the court in Qing Dynasty,the stage art of opera and the repertoire of performances.Significance.The palace opera paintings mentioned in this article are hereinafter referred to as "palace opera paintings of the Qing Dynasty".In content,the imperial court painters created paintings related to opera performance and costume of opera characters;in function,the painters created works to satisfy self-appreciation or as a reward;in form,the main performance of the role of opera on the stage.The main contents are as follows:The first chapter studies the classification,collection and publication of Qinggong Opera and Paintings and their original places.According to the content of a single picture,it can be divided into three categories: the first category is single bust,which depicts more than 80 plays,370 busts of roles,the second category is single body,with 100 dramatic drawings,about 45 plays;the third category is the stage performance scenes of important plays,with175 dramatic drawings,167 dramatic repertoires,and two scroll dramas,all of which are designed.For silk,the size and width of each painting are the same,the contents of the painting all show the situation of theatrical stage performance;these body portraits and the original scenes of the performance are still well preserved in the Palace Museum,which is very precious.In the second chapter,the operas in operas and paintings are sorted out.There are two main categories,one is the character bust data,the other is the character whole body image and scene map.There are six copies of the published materials.According to the catalogue order of the materials,the number of pictures in each play is sorted out one by one,and the problems in these materials and their similarities and differences are summarized.The third chapter describes and analyses the roles and characters' wear in the sorted repertoire.The main basis of the bust portraits' wear is Yang Lianqi's "Characters' Appearancein the Qingsheng Peace Department Opera".The main reference materials of the whole body portraits and scenes of the characters are "Qinggong Opera Paintings" edited by Ye Changhai and Liu Zhenghong,combined with the pictures of the relevant repertoires.Chapter IV studies the opera costumes in the Qing Palace Dramas and Paintings,which are mainly divided into the style of opera costumes and the type of helmet.There are different dress rules for different identities,which can intuitively understand age,identity,status,personality,environment and so on.The fifth chapter mainly starts from the establishment of the palace painting organization,and carries on the time textual research to the Qing palace opera painting.This paper holds that these paintings of Qing Dynasty Palace Opera were painted by Ruyi Museum,a palace painting institution.The three types of paintings were painted in different periods.The first kind of bust figure painting may be drawn in the period of nine to twenty-six years of Guangxu(1900);the second kind of bust figure time is about ten years before Xianfeng;and the third kind of scene map is roughly drawn in the middle or later period of Guangxu.
