A Study Of The Creation Of Robert Sawyer's Science Fiction

The science fiction novels of the famous Canadian science fiction writer Robert J.Sawyer occupy a pivotal position in today's sci-fi world.He specializes in high-tech reasoning and cutting-edge sci-fi stories,subtly combining scientific assumptions,ingenious plots,and human ethics,allowing us to imagine strange worlds and see new ideas from familiar things.Sawyer is very active in the sci-fi world.He is known as the “Father of Canada's Science Fiction” and has won many important sci-fi awards such as the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award.He has also participated in many Chinese science fiction activities.Sawyer is a representative writer of contemporary Western science fiction literature returning to the classics,and has made active and significant contributions to "save" Western science fiction literature.However,the current domestic research on Sawyer's works is extremely scarce.Soyer science fiction often uses the detective reasoning plot mode,which is good at portraying the classic interracial image,relying on his understanding of technology to build a heterogeneous space that we have never heard of.These three main characteristics have certain research value.Therefore,this thesis selects several representative works of Sawyer,and combines the representative works in the history of science fiction novels to try to sort out the characteristics of Sawyer's science fiction creation.This paper is mainly divided into five parts:The introduction part introduces Robert Sawyer's work,the research status of Sawyer science fiction at home and abroad,clarifies the research methods and values of this paper,and puts forward the problems that this paper needs to solve.The second chapter discusses the detective-inferential plot patterns commonly used inSawyer's science fiction,and analyzes its narrative strategy: presenting stories with reasoning plots,creating life scenes with dialogue and customary two-line narrative structure,summing up Sawyer's "rescue" The way of Western science fiction literature is to return to the story and return to the classics.The third chapter discusses the alien image of Sawyer's science fiction which combines scientific principles and human ethics.It analyzes the three types of images from artificial intelligence robots,aliens and soul simulations.Sawyer uses aliens.The image expresses his thoughts on human ethics with a unique perspective of science fiction.The fourth chapter discusses the heterogeneous space full of illusion and compensatory.With the help of Foucault's heterogeneous space theory,the imaginary space in Sawyer's science fiction is sorted out,and the space space,parallel universe and cyberspace are selected.As a representative,the form analyzes the singular expression of its spatial form relative to the real world.Sawyer also deeply ponders human civilization and culture in the imaginary space of the novel.It is certain that Sawyer created a strange spatial form with bold imagination.It is a literary tradition that continues to examine our own world with the help of another civilization in European and American literature.He successfully combines the grandeur of the universe with the great humanity.And pointed out the value and significance of this paper,as well as the enlightenment of further research on this proposition.
