The Heterogeneous Space And Discursive Construction Of Independent Film In China Since The 1990s

In the late 90’s,when the "culture fever" was gradually cooled,the market economy began on a large scale,a new type of film creation- the Chinese independent film appears.The Chinese independent film stands for a system outside the creation, regardless of affiliation or the art style.Independent filmmakers no longer imitate the "fifth generation" who babsed on history,and also no longer beautified history and distortes society,but pays close attention to the social context and cultural market climate,to display the process of China’s modernization of ordinary people and edge character of the survival of the state.They portray the situation of vulnerable groups,through the edge,heterogeneous,anxiety,conflict level,and they convert the transformation process of China’s modernization shot into a spirit, ideological and cultural history, to creat the independent film "heterogeneity". "Heterogeneity" is a uniform social environment,compared with "normal" and "Daily".Spatial heterogeneity refers to space which seems to be against with the daily life space mirror,memory, taboo,and various deviations of daily behavior environment,but it actually does not exist,it is unconsciously embedded in a host of everyday living space of a part,which is a fission of daily living space,a neglected situation.With respect to the overall context of globalization,the image expression is heterogeneous,and in the circle of Chinese director,independent film image construction is heterogeneous,because the inspiration for independent film director no longer bases on a generation of people thinking passion,but wandering in various places at the edge.In specific image rendering,independent film image is obvious with strong heterogeneity,which is based on the expression of the heterogeneity and protests the whole image and the particularity of the heterogeneous,only then the independent film directors in the whole group of director is prominent.The expression of "heterotopia" mainly concentrates on the character selection,spatial location selection.And the characters "deviant" is the acceptance of the characters,who are ugly, broken and in the dark place, to be contributed to the entire image. The independent film showes the true face of life,which conveys the image authenticity feature,the heterogeneous voices,heterogeneous picture,heterogeneous state of existence,and the traditional subversion.But form the new century,consumerism and cynicism continues to expand,gradually reducing the social thinking,and independent film image itself is boed,making the audience very infrequent,and resulting in the independent film construction difficult. The spirit of independence is against with the norm,the dominant discourse of the strict network,the individual’s unique maintenance, that is, to open up the new space of development. Faced with the desire and discourse violence,the independent film directors should stick to their consciousness of self independence, collapsed in the rationalism of "Utopia" era in general,sticking to "author movie" in Contemporary Chinese modernity standpoint, to spread the spirit of the era of urban multipled recognition.
