Consecutive interpreting requires the interpreter to be highly focused and to finish the whole process of listening,note-taking,and interpreting within fairly short time.Usually,the last stage is the decisive one for a consecutive interpreting activity.In most cases,interpreters can manage to switch from English to Chinese in a proper way.But due to factors like time limit or source language gravity,many interpreters can't deverbalize perfectly.Hence,the Chinese with obvious English structures generates.Those Anglican Chinese may affect the audience's comprehension,while in some worse scenarios,may even convey false message and cause misunderstanding.Therefore,it is of great importance to tackle with Anglican Chinese problem.This paper takes a mock conference as an example,trying to analyze the problem of Anglican Chinese.The first part of this paper focuses on the definition and importance of dealing with this problem.The author classifies all the mistakes into three categories and tries to figure out the reasons why those mistakes occur.At last,this paper will offer some coping strategies to correct the three types of mistakes respectively.Hopefully,this paper can help those interpreters who have the same problem and finally improve the quality of interpreting.
