The public security television drama is the important component of public security literature and characteristic by unique literature features,theme content and aesthetic pursuit.For a long time,the public security television dramas base on adapting public security literature,processing actual public security events and creating various police-related scripts,center on the professional life,emotional life,spirit world and fate of Chinese police officers to describe the law and truth,darkness and light,corruption and integrity,justice and evil,and reflect complicated and profound social contradictions and core problems emphasized by the public,take picture and sound as media to represent and reflect the life from temporal and spacial perspectives,and build the flesh-and-blood and glorious image of the people’s polices through representing the changeable stories full of suspense.Creating public security television dramas with various forms,rich themes and true and classic characters positively through exploring the creation rule of television art and researching the aesthetic image of police in public security television works is the internal requirement to meet with the people’s spiritual culture demand and the core of spiritual civilization in the new age.Based on this,this paper adopts the methods of comparative study and historical logic to research the aesthetic features of police image in public security television drams,analyze the artistic characteristics and reveal the artistic creation rule and connotation of such kind of television works deeply.This paper explores the historical context and development process of the public security television dramas in our country,analyzes the aesthetic pursuit of public security television dramas in the new century and centers on the true beauty,image beauty and technology beauty of characters in the public security television drama to reveal the diversified aesthetic style of current public security television dramas.Compared with the public security television dramas in the 1990s,the new type in the new century highlights the artistic innovation awareness and unique aesthetic conception and era spirit more.Meanwhile,this paper conducts deep exploration on the aesthetic insufficiency of police image in the current public security television dramas and proposes countermeasures in order to provide reference for the public security television dramas in creating more and better screen police image which conforms to time characteristics and can present the actual situation of police,and promote the flourishing development of public security artistic creation in the contemporary era.
