As an open complex system,teaching has certainty and uncertainty.In traditional class,uncertainty in teaching is often ignored.In recent years,with the rapid advancing of the New Curriculum reform,more and more scholars and teachers began to pay attention to the uncertainty in teaching.To some extent,teachers make full use of the uncertainty in class and further implement uncertain teaching,which can promote the professional development and teaching tact of English teachers.It can also improve the learning efficiency of students.In order to explore the true situation of uncertain teaching in senior high school.This study focuses on the following two questions:1.What is the current situation of uncertain teaching of senior high school English teachers in terms of their attitudes and implementation?2.What are the factors affecting the implementation of uncertain teaching?In this paper,52 English teachers of Mu Danjiang No.2 senior high school are selected as the research subjects.All the data come from the questionnaire,interview and classroom observation.It investigates from three dimensions: teachers' attitudes towards uncertainty in teaching,the implementation of uncertain teaching and the factors that affect teachers' implementation of uncertain teaching.As for the current situation of uncertain teaching of teachers in Mu Danjiang No.2 senior high school,most of them hold a positive attitude towards the uncertainty in teaching.They can realize the objective existence of uncertainty in the class and it can produce positive effects to teaching.However,some teachers do not have a deep understanding of the uncertainty,and they hold a negative attitude in the implementation.Facing with uncertainties in English class,only a few teachers can implement uncertain teaching successfully,and most of them tend to adjust teaching methods.As for the factors affecting the implementation of uncertain teaching,factors of teachers include teachers' professional knowledge,teaching experience,lesson preparation,communication with colleagues,and teaching pressure.Factors of students includestudents' test scores,classroom order,students' participation,students' personality,students' existing knowledge and experience and current acceptable ability.Based on the analysis of the above questions,this study puts forward some suggestions on uncertain teaching: teachers should deepen the understanding of the uncertainty in teaching and keep a good mentality;teachers should pay attention to the cultivation and improvement of educational tact;teachers should respect the subject status of students,protect and encourage their creative thinking;teachers should change traditional teaching concepts and implement interactive teaching;school should create conditions for the implementation of uncertain teaching.
