The Ghaznavid dynasty was a Muslim regime that emerged in Afghanistan in the last two or three decades of the 10th century. This regime connected West Asia,Central Asia and South Asia, and its rule had a far-reaching influence in the northwestern part of India.During the Ghaznavid dynasty,Islam really had an actual impact and developed in the northwestern India. At the same time,Persian-Islamic culture also gradually merged with the subcontinent's native culture and began the process of localization. This has played an important role in promoting the formation of India's social and cultural diversity, and at the same time laid the foundation for a stable political situation in which the Muslim regime and the Indian rajas have long-term cooperation. From the beginning of the establishment of the Ghaznavid dynasty to its demise, northwestern India has been under its sphere of influence, and is managed by agents sent by Ghaznavid sultans, while the locals provided Ghaznavid with troops(people, elephants, etc.)and wealth. However, the rule of the Ghaznavid dynasty in India is not static. In the beginning, the Indian region was mainly a land of plunder of the sultans. In the last years of Sultan Mas'ud,he retreated to the Indian region, and northwestern India began to become the last stronghold of the Ghaznavid dynasty. The changes in the status of northwestern India reflect the rise and fall of the Ghaznavid, which is also an important part of understanding the shrinkage of this dynasty and the basis for understanding the establishment of the later local Muslim regime in India.Tarikh-e Bayhaqi, also known as Tarikh-e Mas 'udi, mainly records events that occurred during the reign of Sultan Mas'ud.This historical book is generally recognized as a book of true history, and many historical events involving the Indian region are recorded in this book. These events mainly include two maj or aspects, first, the internal strife related to the military chiefs of Northwest India;second,a series of events for the expedition to India led by the Sultan Mas'ud and the final retreat to India.During Mas'ud's reign, the military chiefs of the Indian region changed for three times, and the Turkish military chiefs Eiyaruq and Ahmad Ynaltegin were finally dismissed, while Tilak the hindu reached the high position Finally,Mas'ud sent Prince Majdud directly as an agent to manage Northwestern India.Due to the bad influence of some unrealistic expeditions of Mas'ud,the Ghaznavid dynasty lost Khorasan under the attack of the Seljuks, and then Mas'ud decided to move to northwestern India. The Ghaznavid dynasty did set a precedent in history, bringing the northwestern region of India under the rule of the Muslim regime for the first time, bringing Indians(Hindus)to work for them. Its transition laid the foundation for the establishment of Muslim dynasty in India, for example the Gul Dynasty,Delhi Sultanate, and later the Mughal Dynasty. Each of these dynasties have a larger territory than the previous one,and the stability of the rule becomes better and better. It can't be separable from every previous foundation laying.
