Research On Chinese Teaching TV Program In Bangladesh

In recent years,with the enhancement of China's comprehensive strength and international status,the influence of Chinese culture in the world is constantly expanding.Foreigners' enthusiasm for learning Chinese language and culture is growing,and so is their need for learning.Teaching Chinese as a foreign language plays an important role in the promotion and dissemination of Chinese language and culture.At the same time,the development of society and the progress of science and technology have promoted the rapid development of television media and network technology,which has gradually changed the traditional Chinese classroom mode and played an important role in Chinese teaching.By sorting out the materials,it can be seen that the previous researches mainly focus on Chinese language teaching in the classroom,and there are not many researches on Chinese language teaching programs on TV,especially those with localized and nationalized Chinese language teaching programs.Moreover,there is no research on Chinese language teaching programs on TV in Bangladesh."Learning Chinese in China Hour" is a Chinese teaching program produced by the private television RTV in Bangladesh and China Radio International,with teachers from the Confucius institute at Dhaka University,Confucius Institute at North South University and CRI-SMF Confucius Classroom as the speaker.Each episode has different cultural and language points.The audience can not only understand Chinese culture through TV programs,but also learn basic practical Chinese.It will premiere on RTV from February 5,2019 at 6:05 PM local time(Dhaka Time)and will be updated on Facebook and You Tube.Therefore,it is necessary to take this program as the research object to study the current situation,existing problems,suggestions and improvement measures of Bangladesh TV programs for Chinese teaching.The author analyzes the characteristics and functions of TV Chinese language teaching programs firstly,and takes RTV "Learning Chinese in China Hour" as the specific research object,and summarizes the teaching content from the content layout,language points,culture,topics and teaching methods,and combines the scenes,background music,host and guest speakers,and editing to introduce the details of the show.In addition,the author through the study of participant's questionnaires find that the the teaching content in the first season of "Learning Chinese in CHINA HOUR” is incoherent,the teaching methods is not flexible,lack of supporting materials and so on.In the program,the communication between the guests and hosts,subtitles and scene settings still need to be improved.Finally,specific recommendations from the teaching and program making are given.It is hoped that the opinions and suggestions put forward in this paper can contribute to the development,promotion and dissemination of Chinese teaching TV programs.
