Leaves in nature are the most common natural elements in life.They have different shapes,colors and textures.They appear in every part of people's life.As the foil of flowers,leaves have the saying that "good flowers must be supported by green leaves".Leaves grow on branches,snuggle up with each other and are full of vitality.Leaves represent the ordinary,practical,it is given simple,tenacious character.For the interpretation of Ye,in the long river of the development of Chinese traditional ceramic decoration art,the decoration of Ye is new with the changes of cultural background,social aesthetics and technological techniques.Up to now,the modern artists' love for leaf pattern decoration has not been reduced,and they continue to give new vitality to this ancient decorative theme.The rich leaf pattern decoration has been changing with the development of history.It is not only the extraction of nature,but also the sustenance of its own humanistic atmosphere and spirit.All kinds of leaves unite human's emotion,experience and sense world,and offer good hope and comfort.This paper focuses on the aesthetic meaning of leaf pattern,combines the analysis of traditional and modern excellent art works,opens the creative thinking,and takes "leaf" as the emotional sustenance,hoping to show the rhythm and life cycle of the vitality behind the works,the symbolic meaning of the cycle,and explore more possibilities of leaf pattern in ceramic decoration design.The whole article is divided into four chapters.The introduction part of the first chapter analyzes the background,purpose and significance of the current research.The second chapter mainly focuses on the analysis and exploration of image connotation,historical evolution and cases of modern art works of leaf pattern decoration to clarify the author's creative thinking.The third chapter is the exploration and thinking of the author's early creation.The fourth and fifth chapters are the details of graduation works The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this paper and the author's Thoughts on the follow-up research.
