With the continuous development of the global economy,China's economy is further integrated, and the maritime economy plays an increasingly important role in this process. The author chooses The Handbook of Maritime Economics and Business as a translation practice and translates it into Chinese. In the process of Chinese translation, the author uses Skopos theory, the three guiding principles of Skopos theory as a guide to write a translating practice report on the problems arising from the translation of the two types of non-finite verbs:participles and infinitives. In the process of Chinese translation of participles and infinitives, the author lists a total of 23 examples. In solving the problem of Chinese translation of participles, the author uses translation strategies such as literal translation,deduction,part-of-speech transformation and voice transformation to deal with the participles as adverbial, attributive and predicative;for infinitives as adverbial, attributive, predicative and objects, the author uses translation strategies such as literal translation, deduction and voice transformation.Through this translation practice report, the author hopes to provide reference methods and strategies for the translation of maritime texts in order to provide reference for the authors who translate such texts in the future.
