Study On Synonyms Of The General Scope Adverbs In Zuozhuan

Zuozhuan is the masterpiece of the mature stage of classical Chinese and it is completed in the Spring and Autumn Period.This article takes synonyms of the general scope adverbs in Zuozhuan as the research object,and combines the research results of traditional exegetics with the theories and methods of modern semantics.In this paper,the real word meaning system of this kind of adverb is taken as the leading determinant of semantic internal,and explored the influence and verification role of semantics in grammar and pragmatics.Conversely,This paper used grammar and pragmatics as auxiliary means,examined the specific use cases of grammar and pragmatics to complement the semantic composition,and deeply and carefully analyzed nuances between them.Finally,this paper constructed systematic same-different system the of synonyms of the general scope adverbs.Starting from adverbs are semi-substantive words,This article determines the function of the general scope adverbs as the real word.According to the characteristics that the general scope adverbs as content words always has substantive meaning in the development of the language,this article investigates the evolution of substantive meaning of every general scope adverbs and adverb part of speech of every general scope adverbs,further explored to find out the difference between the synonym of the general scope adverbs in the real word meaning system.Secondly,on the basis of differences of the semantic sources of the notional words of the adverbs of the general category,combining the semantic relationship between the adverbs of the scope and the subject-predicate-object collocation of the main syntactic components,as well as their own semantic orientation,location,and the choice of grammatical attributes of the decorated components,verifying them by referring to the context,concretely implements the different semantic characteristics of each adverb of the general category,extract relevant sememes and establish more perfect sememe formulas.On the basis of the above research,aiming at the synonyms of 20 general scope adverbs in three types: table homogeneity,table totality and table circumference,this paper makes a horizontal and vertical analysis and comparison from the perspective of functional and semantic features,lists the comparison tables of functional features and sememes respectively according to types,accurately summarizes the common sememes and distinguishing sememes,and finally achieves purpose of overall discriminating and analying synonyms of the general scope adverbs.This paper extends the discrimination of synonyms to the category of semi-substantive adverbs,that is,the category of the general scope adverbs,which has certain academic trial value.Using sememe analysis method to identify synonyms of the general scope adverbs,the feasibility of its research method provided a new way for identifying synonyms of other categories of adverbs,prepositions and conjunctions,and maked up for the type limitations and shortcomings of sememe analysis method.Taking semantics as the core factor,this paper explored how it affects the collocation of grammatical components and the pragmatic relationship of context,and thus drawn a conclusion that the semantic differences based on the morphemes of this kind of synonyms,undoubtedly tended to be more scientific and detailed.In addition,this paper constructed the internal deep semantic system and external grammatical and pragmatic system of the general scope adverbs in an all-round way,which provided corresponding results for the formation of the semantic system of adverbs in ancient Chinese and the history of adverb vocabulary,and also provided some reference for the compilation and revision of dictionaries.
