The Power Of "Repetitive Behavior" In Contemporary Art

The repetition of the era of mechanical reproduction,the artist's intention toeliminate the aura of artistic works,close the distance between the works of artand the public,and complete the de-election of the works.With the developmentof imaging technology,the “repetitive behavior” behind the repeated patternswas extracted and placed in front of the audience.Image technology laid thefoundation for the fertile soil for this behavior as a means of contemporary art."Repetitive behavior" as an event that everyone happens every day,the semanticsof this traditional behavior is also constantly deconstructing the cultural contextof self-adaptation and becoming a means for contemporary artists to explore theessence of art.Here,the content to be discussed in this article is hidden in the “repetitivebehavior” behind the repeated patterns.First,liberate “repetitive behavior” frombehind repeated images,giving a clear category of “repetitive behavior”.And the "repetitive behavior" as an element of the work,presented in front of people,making it the visual focus of the viewer.In this paper,from the category of "repetitive behavior" identified,fourartists' art works were selected: Zhang Peili's "30×30",Zhang minjie's "Thephrase for life",and Qiu Zhijie's "Repeat copying a thousand times 'Lan TingXu'".Xie Deqing's "Card",The author uses the combination of case and theory toanalyze and interpret the works of these four artists,and analyzes the artist'screation from the artist's interviews,self-reports,commentators' comments andaesthetic theories.Trying to sort out the feasibility of “repetitive behavior” as away of creating contemporary art in their artistic creation;and trying to explorethe characteristics of “repetitive behavior” by deepening the interpretation ofthese four works of art.The advantage reveals that it can visually show a sense ofshock,and it can produce a strong sense of rhythm and modernity on theemotions;correctly guide and change people's boring and stereotyped impressions of "repetitive behavior",making it a An art behavior that can berealized by people and make rational use of it.
