With the deepening of globalization,cultural industry,as one of the pillar industries in developed economies,has become a new growth point of current economic growth.Economic growth has led to more demand for cultural goods,and cultural trade has been developing and integrating into economic development.To become a powerful country in cultural trade can not only increase a country's economic growth,but also enhance a country's foreign political influence.Japan,as a country with a narrow strip of water in China,has similar cultural origins.Faced with the new changes in the global economic situation since the last century,Japan has put forward the strategy of building a country by culture,and has made remarkable achievements in the development of cultural trade.In this regard,through the comparative study of the international competitiveness of cultural trade between China and Japan,and drawing lessons from Japan's experience in the development of cultural trade,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to improve China's international competitiveness of cultural trade.It can find the point of economic growth and enhance foreign political influence.This paper summarizes the relevant literature on cultural trade,and finally the author makes a comparative study on the international competitiveness of cultural trade between China and Japan based on the relevant definition of cultural trade by UNESCO;and uses comparative research method and empirical research method combined with the statistical data of Sino-Japanese cultural trade in the United Nations Merchandise Trade Database from 2008 to 2017.It studies the current situation of Sino-Japanese cultural trade between China and Japan.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the international competitiveness,finds out the differences in trade scale,trade commodity structure and international competitiveness index between the two countries.Then it makes a comparative analysis of the factors influencing the gap between China and Japan in international competitiveness of cultural trade by using the national competitiveness model.It concludes that the export structure of China's cultural commodities is unreasonable and the import and export structure is inconsistent.Reflected in the international competitiveness of cultural trade,the structure of export competitiveness of cultural commodities is unreasonable,and the structure of import and export competitiveness is inconsistent,and this unreasonable and inconsistent is showing a deteriorating trend.How to change this situation? By comparing the influencing factors of the international competitiveness of cultural trade between China and Japan,this paper draws the following points: Firstly,we should take the promotion of the international competitiveness of cultural service trade as the strategic direction of building a cultural power in China;Secondly,we should reduce the cost of cultural enterprises and raise the income level of residents;Thirdly,we should improve the stock and technical cooperation of cultural enterprises.Support to ensure smooth cooperation between cultural enterprises;Fourthly,promote the rapid growth of some enterprises with real competitive advantages to promote the development of other cultural enterprises;Fifthly,enhance the comparative advantages of advanced production factors.
