An Interpreting Report On Bearing-Related Program Based On Adaptation Theory

With the development of global economic integration,economic exchanges and trades among countries are becoming more and more frequent,and interpreters as inter-linguistic communication messengers play an indispensable role in this process.However,because interpreting is a multi-tasking activity which consists of listening,speaking,reading,writing and interpreting simultaneously,together with its various themes make it full of uncertainty.In particular,interpreting in the field of bearing-related programs is a huge challenge for interpreters.How to overcome the shortage of language and professional knowledge is the topic of this practical report.Based on the author's performance of three field interpreting in bearing-related programs,she wrote this interpreting practice report to discuss the problems encountered under practical interpreting circumstances.Under the guidance of the Adaptation Theory,the author analyzes and discusses better interpreting options from the perspectives of contextual correlates of adaptation,salience of the adaptation process and other related problems such as abbreviations and terminologies,figures interpreting and disfluency,combining with the analysis of her real interpreting examples.Furthermore,the author also puts forward difficulties and suggestions for future interrelating in this field.
