Self-control is the core of human self-consciousness.It affects all aspects of human life and plays a decisive role in the healthy development of the individual and social harmony.Previous studies have shown that high self-controllers have higher academic achievement, better interpersonal relationships, and fewer problem behaviors. The strength model of self-control indicates that after the individual performs the self-control task, the subsequent self-control resources are insufficient, which makes the user in a temporary weak control state, which leads to the decline of the individual's self-control ability. This state is called the ego-depletion state.Thus,self-control includes trait self-control and state self-control.In the past years, some researchers have pointed out that state self-control can be divided into acute ego-depeltion state and chronic ego-depletion state(self-regulating fatigue).Self-regulating fatigue refers to a state in which an individual responds to various external events in the long-term,resulting in a lack of long-term self-control ability.Previous studies on self-control and aggression are mostly related research.Although a small number of studies have examined the causal relationship between acute ego-depletion and aggression from the perspective of state self-control in recent years, there is a lack of research on chronic ego-depletion and aggression without considering the influence of individual self-control.Based on the general aggression model and I~3 theory, combined with the strength model of self-control,this paper systematically studies the relationship between college students'aggressive behavior and state self-control and trait self-control.In view of the negative impact of self-depletion on aggression behavior,it is particularly important to seek a measure to alleviate the ego-depletion aftereffect. This study further explores the mitigation effect of other people's positive emotions on individual aggression behavior in the state of depleion. In the first study,451 college students were selected as the research objects. The self-control scale, trait aggression questionnaire,self-regulated fatigue scale were used to analyze the trait self-control,and self-regulated fatigue and aggressive tendency were analyzed by questionnaire survey. The second study is experimental research. The Stroop experimental paradigm is used as the depletion task of self-control resources. The competitive response task is used as the measurement task of aggression behavior. The effects of trait self-control and ego-depletion on active and reactive aggression are investigated.Study 3 is a ego-depletion intervention experiment. In order to slow down the ego-depletion aftereffect, introduce other people's emotional variables, and investigate whether the perception of other people's positive emotions can reduce the individual's aggression in the state of depletion. The study draws the following conclusions:(1)There is no significant difference in aggressiveness between the only child and the gender, but the physical aggression dimension shows obvious gender differences. The physical aggression of boys is higher than that of girls;trait self-control and self-regulating fatigue can significantly predict aggressive tendencies.Under different self-regulating fatigue states, the predictive effects of self-control are different.Under high fatigue state,self-control is more predictive of aggression.(2)Experimental studies show that ego-depletion and trait self-control have no effect on active aggression, only affect reactive aggression, and there is interaction between them. The high-trait self-control group has no Significant differences in reactive aggression between the depletion and non-depletion states.that is,those with high self-control levels are not sensitive to depletion effects;low-trait self-control groups have significant differences in reactive aggression between depletion and non-depletion states, and depletion states can exacerbate reactive aggression levels.(3)Self-control resources can be recovered by sensing the positive emotions of others, thereby reducing the aggressive behavior of individuals in the state of ego-depletion.
