| This thesis uses the schema theory as the framework,and puts forward some suggestions for the consecutive interpreting teaching and class design.This thesis firstly studies the researches of interpreting teaching and interpreting class design,reviews the development of schema theory,and investigates the research applying schema theory to interpreting class design.Based on that,some specific methods of using schema theory to facilitate interpreting teaching are found.Then,based on a schematic description of the interpreting process,this thesis obtains the coping strategies of each interpreting process,and then provides some operational suggestions for interpreting teaching.In the end,an interpreting class is successfully designed.The study finds that schemata play an important role in the three stages of interpreting,namely comprehension,memory and expression.Correspondingly,teachers should focus on helping students to strengthen students’ abilities of schema building,schema activating and schema transferring.Teachers can use different teaching methods to train students’ these abilities in different teaching stages.Before the class,the teacher can inform the students of the classroom training topic and the ask them to do preparations so as to train students’ schema building ability.In the class,teachers can train students’ schema activating ability through an introduction part,memory skill training,note training and an outreach part.After the class,teachers can assign them group tasks to train students’ schema transferring ability. |
