Nowadays,as the language service industry develops rapidly and becomes mature, translation activity tends to be a teamwork within one or more projects comprised of varied roles. In a large translation project, quality cannot be assured by the translator himself/herself within a limited timeframe, let alone one's habitual neglect of his or her own errors. However, revision courses have not been widely introduced into the curriculum of Chinese translation institutions and revision-focused studies are far from sufficient in China, which leads to the fact that translators who have received neither systematic training on nor theoretical guidance of revision find it difficult to undertake a revision task. Thanks to the internship opportunity in the MFA website translation project of Company X,the author had the opportunity to see how professional revisers worked on a major translation project.Based on the internship experience, this report summarizes the workflow of revisers in the large foreign affairs translation project, including understanding background knowledge, exploring translation features in specific field and drafting operational project quality standards in advance, selecting appropriate revision strategies according to real conditions and project characteristics during revision, and post-revision evaluation and feedback. The author benefited a lot from this experience and fully realized that the main responsibility of revisers is to ensure quality with proper standards throughout the work.In revision process, the author adopted the bilingual procedure to increase work efficiency and classified errors in draft translation according to the 12 revision parameters proposed by Brian Mossop. In the assessment by revisers of draft translation, the author attempted to set weight for those parameters and designed a translation assessment form applicable for this project. After scoring each copy of translation according to the number of errors and the parameter weight, the author submitted the form to project manager for overall assessment. In the last part, this report summarized encountered difficulties in the internship and the author's solutions and also listed unsolved problems for further research. It is hoped that this report will help people interested in translation revision to understand revision responsibilities and workflow and get prepared for future revision work.
