The development of tourism has driven the rapid development of Guizhou's social economy.The growth of the number of tourists at home and abroad has promoted the gradual improvement of the quantity and quality of tourism talents.For tourism practitioners,in addition to mastering the basic theoretical knowledge and practical application ability of tourism specialty,a certain cross-cultural communication skills are required and understanding of Guizhou's local cultures should be strengthened.The purpose of secondary vocational tourism education is to train and provide qualified personnel for the development of local tourism.Therefore,the development of local tourism industry and local vocational education are inevitably linked.However,at present,there is a shortage of senior tourism talents in Guizhou's tourism industry.The overall quality of the employees still needs to be improved,and there are few employees who can carry out cross-cultural exchanges.Secondary vocational educational tourism major should pay more attention to students' English level.According to the survey,it is found that the curriculum of professional English for tourism in secondary vocational schools is not closely related to the development of tourism in Guizhou.The curriculum objective and content are less combined with local tourism,and the curriculum structure needs to be improved.There is a certain gap between the quantity and quality of personnel training and thedemand of tourism enterprises for employees,which has affected the development of Guizhou's tourism industry to some extent.Therefore,in view of these problems,from the perspective of curriculum,this paper focuses on the research on the curriculum of tourism professional English in secondary vocational schools in Guizhou.Through literature review and investigation,the problems are found and the reasons are analyzed.The purpose is to explore the path suitable for the reform of tourism English curriculum in Guizhou secondary vocational schools,which not only provides suggestions and references for curriculum setting in relevant schools on the macro level,but also provides curriculum teaching staff with personal views on improving curriculum teaching ability on the micro level.There are six chapters in the dissertation.The first chapter is the introduction,which explores the feasibility of the research content by summarizing the background and basis of the topic selection as well as the related research on the curriculum of vocational education at home and abroad.The connotation,research methods,innovations and deficiencies of the related concepts are introduced.The second chapter expounds the theoretical basis of the curriculum related to this article.The third chapter introduces the relevant basis of secondary vocational education curriculum.The fourth chapter is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of tourism English curriculum in Guizhousecondary vocational schools.The fifth chapter finds out the existing problems and causes of the curriculum of tourism professional English in secondary vocational schools in Guizhou based on investigation and analysis.In the sixth chapter the author puts forward some corresponding countermeasures on how to deal with the problems existing in the curriculum setting for the cultivation of tourism talents in Guizhou.
