A Report On The Interpreting Of Study Tour To Tri-ring Group Corporation

In the past four decades,great changes have taken place in China since the reform and opening up.China's own economic boom and social progress exert great reference significance for the development of other countries around the whole world.At the same time,China is committed to the cause of foreign aid,such as holding international official seminars where overseas officials are invited to participate from Asian,African and Latin countries.These kinds of seminars are aimed at mutual exchanges and cooperation in business experiences and management modes in order to promote economic and social development.Approved by Ministry of Commerce,China-Europe Vocational Training Center(CEVTC)provides qualified training courses and study tour for overseas officials.In July,2018,“Seminar on Competition Laws and Enforcement” has been held during which seminar members were invited to have a study tour to Tri-ring Group Corporation IN Wuhan.The author acted as the escort interpreter during this period.This study tour is aimed at learning advanced technical products and outstanding business capabilities of Tri-ring Group Corporation,which accords with the guidance principle of “Belt and Road Initiative”.It is the author's personal interpreting practice divided into two parts: the first one is an introduction of automotive products invented by Tri-ring Group;and the second is a detailed presentation covering all business of this enterprise.Actually,this interpreting contains massive terminologies and professional knowledge related automotive field.Although many difficulties were encountered in interpreting,positive feedbacks from both sides were still received after the interpreter fulfilled this task.Therefore,on a concrete study of interpreting recordings and transcripts,typical examples are selected and analyzed from the perspective of Schema Theory.In this report,researches will be conducted on important and difficult points from linguistic schema,content schema and structure schema respectively and corresponding interpreting methods and strategies will be summarized.This report attempts to offer more guiding significance and certain reference value for theory research and concrete practice of interpreting in the future.
