Mother tongue interference or negative transfer of mother tongue in language learning is a major obstacle.Thus,we have to pay attention to the similarities and differences between the mother tongue of students and Chinese,so as to prevent and eliminate the negative transfer interference.Contrastive analysis is the most effective way to discover the similarities and differences between the two language systems.How to apply the contrastive research results to actual Chinese teaching is the goal we have been striving for.This thesis systematically discusses the definition,composition and classification of adjectives in Chinese and Kazakh language.On the basis of previous studies,this thesis attempts to illustrate the characteristics of Chinese and Kazakh adjectives from three aspects: function,structure,word order.We try to analyze the similarities and differences between the adjectives of Chinese and Kazakh,and discuss whether the differences become difficulties for the students whose mother tongue is Kazakh in learning the adjectives and related grammar of Chinese.The research also aims to find out the key points,difficult points and rules in the teaching of Chinese adjective,in order to provide the comparison of adjectives for the Chinese teachers and the learners of Kazakh.To give Chinese teachers and learners corresponding enlightenment,so as to improve the effect of Chinese vocabulary and grammar teaching.
