Processing Preference Of Female Self-face Recognition With Negative Physical Self

At present,the research on the processing preference of self-face recognition of women with negative physical self is not deep enough.The study only demonstrates that junior high school students with negative physical self have the same self-face recognition promotion effect as ordinary people,but does not explore whether the self-face recognition advantage effect exists.And some studies have shown that female college students with negative physical self have unique preferences in other people's face recognition.Therefore,whether the processing preferences of women with negative physical self for self-face recognition have particularity needs to be further studied.This study contains two experiments,based on female college students with negative physical self,to study the processing preferences of female college students with negative physical self from the advantage effect of self-face recognition and the promotion effect of self-face recognition.In experiment 1,self-face recognition paradigm and subjective evaluation paradigm were used to examine the self-face recognition promotion effect of women with negative physical self.The results showed that women with negative physical self were consistent with the control group and tended to regard more attractive faces as real self-faces.The negative-looking schema group scored lower on the beauty and ugliness of self-face pictures,showing its negative cognitive tendency towards self-face.At the same time,consistent with previous studies,women with negative-looking schema responded more quickly to low-attractive face information,with higher recognition rate and negative-looking schema.In experiment 2,the dominant effect of self-face recognition was explored by using point-detection paradigm and self-face and other face pictures as experimental materials.The results showed that the reaction time of self-face recognition of women with negative physical self was significantly less than that of others.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Women with negative physical self have the effect of self-recognition promotion,and tend to regard more attractive faces as real self-faces in the process of self-face recognition facing different face attractions.(2)Women with negative physical self have the advantage effect of self-recognition.In the face recognition process of self-face and other faces,there is a preferential recognition of self-face.
