The Study Of Interpretation Of Commonly Used Polysemous Adjectives In A Dictionary Of Chinese Usage:8000 Words

Adjectives and polysemous words have always been the focus of linguistics.They are one of the hot spots in the field of linguistics,and they are also the focus and difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Although the ontology research and the bias analysis of adjectives have achieved considerable results.However,the definition of polysemous adjectives in the Chinese learning dictionary,especially in the extroverted Chinese learning dictionary,has not attracted enough attention.In this paper,A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words is used as the source of corpus,and 62 commonly used polysemous adjectives are selected as research objects.Using the combination of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,the interpretation method,interpretation language and interpretation content of more than 200 meanings of these62 commonly used polysemous adjectives are investigated.At the same time,compare the relevant interpretations of The Commercial Press Learner's Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese and A Chinese Dictionary for Learners and Teachers,and get their similarities and differences in the interpretation of polysemous adjectives.In order to find out the problems in the interpretation of the polysemous adjectives of A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words,and give some suggestions.This article is divided into five chapters,the contents of each chapterare as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.Firstly,the research situation of the foreign-oriented Chinese learning dictionary and the research status of the dictionary definition are reviewed.Then the research significance of this paper is derived.Finally,the research object and research methods are introduced.The second chapter is the study of the interpretation method of the commonly used polysemous adjectives in A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words.Based on the theoretical results of the research of predecessors and combined with the specific corpus,we divide the main interpretation method of the commonly used polysemous adjectives in A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words into five categories:synonymous interpretation,explanatory interpretation,compound interpretation,and functional interpretation and comprehensive interpretation,auxiliary interpretation methods are divided into two categories: brackets and auxiliary columns.Statistics and analysis were carried out for each interpretation method.At the same time,it also compares and analyzes The Commercial Press Learner's Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese and A Chinese Dictionary for Learners and Teachers,and draws the similarities and differences between the interpretation of A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words compared with the other two.The third chapter is the interpretation language of the commonly used polysemous adjectives in A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000Words.According to the existing research results,this chapter examines the two aspects from the interpretive deixis and the explanatory language.The interpretive deixis in A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000Words were classified,and then their distribution and use were analyzed.The author has carried on the word segmentation and grading of the explanatory language of A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words,and compared it with the related content of The Commercial Press Learner's Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese and A Chinese Dictionary for Learners and Teachers,summed up the need for the improvement of A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words in the interpretation language.The fourth chapter is the study of the interpretation content of the commonly used polysemous adjectives in A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words.The study of the content of paraphrase mainly refers to the choice,division and sorting of the meanings of polysemous adjectives.Through the aid of the corpus,some typical words in the commonly used polysemous adjectives of A Dictionary of Chinese Usage:8000 Words are examined,and the related meanings of the other two dictionaries are analyzed to find out the problems and hope to attract the attention of the editors.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.The main contents of this paperare summarized,the shortcomings of this research are pointed out,and the future work is prospected.
