| In this paper,the illustration of the French New Art Movement and its application in contemporary art are studied,and the works of Alphonse Mucha,the representative of the movement,are taken as the main research objects.Through learning from various excellent cultures and combining with his own design concepts and aesthetic ideas,Mucha constantly practices and innovates,forming a unique Mucha style,thus contributing to the formation of a new art style,thus affecting the whole of Europe,and making outstanding contributions to the development of contemporary art.Firstly,the article studies the background of the Paris Age in which the Art Nouveau Movement lived,and analyses the influence of the political,economic,ideological and cultural development on Mucha’s illustration creation at that time.At the turn of the century,the development and change of politics,economy and culture triggered the conflict between the old and new civilizations and the spiritual world enriched by new artistic forms during the New Art Movement.As a representative of the New Art Movement,Mu Xia was influenced by the social environment at that time.Under this background,he created his own unique style.Secondly,it focuses on the formal language and artistic value of Mu Xia’s illustrations.In the aspect of formal language,the author combines Mu Xia’s large number of illustrations and summarizes its uniqueness from four aspects: lines,patterns,colors and composition.In the aspect of artistic value,Mu Xia’s illustrations convey profound ideological connotation through aesthetic formal language,which promotes the development of the new art movement and has a far-reaching impact on modern design.Finally,the author uses the formal language of Mu Xia’s works for reference and learning,and uses an innovative perspective and modern aesthetic concepts to create and extend the application design. |
