A Corpus-Based Investigation On The Difference Of Synonym "Jiaoji,Jiaowang,Laiwang,Wanglai,Jiaoliu,Jiaohuan" In Mandarin Chinese

There exists a lot of similar synonyms in Mandarin Chinese,and the discrimination of synonyms has always been a difficult point in Chinese learning."jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan" is a one group of these word which can be named as communicative verb.In this paper,we use corpus-based investigation on the Chinese National Corpus,to difference them from three aspects: colligation,prosody and semantic.By examining the modified elements in the right of each word,we find that "jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan" are mainly different in NP class,VP class and UP class,but their prosody tendency is neutral.Through the analysis of auxiliary elements and action subjects in left-hand of each word,we find that the differences of "jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan" between auxiliary elements are mainly existed in attachment mark,appraisal mark,restriction mark and relevance mark.The main difference of the action subject lies in the non-human subject category.Based on the research results of "jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan",we summarize the differences of the action itself and the action object in the semantic aspect of "jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan" in both the left and the right sides.Finally,we summarize the differences and similarities of "jiaoji,jiaowang,laiwang,wanglai,jiaoliu,jiaohuan" found in this study,and point out some shortcomings and improvements.
