Chinese teachers’ occupational commitment and teachers’ job satisfaction are important research topics in teacher education research.Teacher occupational commitment and teachers’ job satisfaction directly affect the teaching effect and the teacher’s professional emotion.Studying the occupational commitment and job satisfaction of Thai Chinese teachers is to study the overall attitudes and views of Thai Chinese teachers on education work,working conditions,and the distribution of Chinese teachers in Thailand.In this study,the “Occupational Commitment Scale for Primary and Secondary School Teachers” compiled by Li Xia and Long Lirong,which is widely recognized by the academic community,was used as the basis for the questionnaire.The teachers of the Chinese Teacher Association of Thailand were the subjects of the survey.The questionnaire is divided into three parts: “emotional commitment”,“continuing commitment” and “normative commitment”.Based on the results of the answer sheet,this paper summarizes the basic situation and teaching situation of the members of the Chinese Teachers Association of Thailand,and compares the differences in occupational commitment and job satisfaction between teachers of different backgrounds.Finally,based on the previous analysis results,this paper puts forward suggestions on improving teachers’ job satisfaction and career commitment.The results of this study have the following three meanings: First,the questionnaire and research results can help teachers and schools to think about the direction of career development and to find ways to improve professionalism and job satisfaction.Second,the conclusions of this study can be provide real data for the Thai Chinese Teachers Association to guide future teachers’ vocational training.Third,the conclusions of this study can provide research data for the Thai education sector as a reference for the formulation of educational policies.These have important practical significance for Thai Chinese education.
