All countries are in full swing in cultural diplomacy in recent years.In particular,the prevalence of global trade and multiculturalism has fostered fertile ground for cultural diplomacy.The cultural products who are rife with the cultural connotation have become more and more important in the carrier of cultural diplomacy,and international trade has become a new channel of cultural diplomacy.In the international trade of cultural products,the “Sunrise Industry”--cultural industry makes a new growth of economic development and attracts the attention of all countries.As a new channel of cultural diplomacy,the economic function based on the international trade of cultural products which has become more obviously.Many scholars have found that such international trade can not only get considerable economic benefits,but also influence the people who get in touch with and the country's image may get some transformations because of the cultural characteristics and values it contained.Currently,through positive research and empirical research,some scholars have pointed out that international trade in cultural products can not only affect a country's soft power,but also can raise the economic and trade exchanges and the number of tourists.Based on these foundations,this research takes "Japanese anime" as the research object,combs the literature from the perspective of communication and economics,and then takes "the Japanese box office of overseas animation films" as an example to propose three hypotheses,They are:(1)The international trade of Japanese animation products is beneficial for the improvement of Japan's soft power;(2)The international trade of Japanese animation products is good for expanding Japanese merchandise trade exports;(3)the international trade of Japanese animation products is to be helpful to increase the number of tourists of Japan.Based on this research,it can prove that one of the typical examples of the Japanese cultural industry can increase the soft power,raise foreign trade volume and add the number of tourists for Japan or not while it gained the economic benefits.In this research,the conclusion is verified through the regression analysis by statistical software SPSS20.0.it mainly uses simple linear model and adds additional explanatory variables to explain the relationship within them,thereby testfying these 3 hypotheses.The study found that there is no clear relationship between Overseas box office of Japanese animation films and soft power;but has positive correlation with the amount of the trade exports and the number of tourists of Japan.Therefore,hypothesis 1 is rejected and hypothesis 2 and hypothesis 3 are accepted.Based on the research sample data,the cultural diplomacy of Japanese anime films has no effect on the improvement of soft power,but it can increase the amount of Japanese exports and increase the number of tourists coming to Japan while gaining economic benefits.
