Based on The Second Piano Sonata of Boulez,the most important composer and conductor in the 20 th century,as the research object,the paper interprets the sequence of the first movement theme in detail and sums up the sequence and harmony.This article is divided into six parts: the overview of first chapter,then introduces the background and characteristics of the second piano sonata,expounding the current research status of Boulez.The second and third chapter analyze the theme of sequence in The Second Piano Sonata and explain the phenomenon that the sequence of internal panels are divided into three groups.The fourth chapter explains the homogeneous intervals in theme layer,the presence of homogeneous chord and usage in the works.The fifth chapter is the control of the structure in work and homogeneous chord group.The sixth chapter is to explore a near-far problem of chord in harmony phenomenon in the work.This paper analyses and proves that The Second Piano Sonata is either different from Schoenberg's traditional writing twelve-tone sequence or from other twelve-tone series of Boulez.We can feel that there is a trace of the classical period in the work of Boulez.For example,the original theme constantly repeats the same repetitive or change to deepen the impression of audiences;or unfold the different "motivation" of the theme,and then control the different segments;or use two main methods to control the whole song to form alternant paragraph.The above technique possesses the design thinking of traditional music.
