The famous " piano quintet in a minor"(Op.84)is one of the four major works created by elgar between 1918 and 1919,and the " piano quintet in a minor" is also one of elgar's representative works.however, although this work can be called the classic repertoire of elgar's chamber music, there are few literature materials dedicated to this work.therefore, under the circumstance that the research materials of this work are relatively scarce,It is possible that some musicians who want to play this piece of music may not be able to accurately grasp Elgar's " music language" and the author's own style characteristics, resulting in unclear expression of music in actual performance. This year coincides with the 100 th anniversary of the birth of Elgar,a great British composer.Based on the above situation, the author hopes to pass this article. This paper makes a targeted analysis of the characteristics and problems of the coordination between the three movements of Elgar's piano quintet in a minor,so that readers can get some inspiration from it and apply it to actual performance and practice, thus enabling the music style of Elgar's classic work to be better understood and interpreted.
