On The Three Dimensional Imagination Of Divine Animals In Ancient China

The divine animals still appear in people's lives today,as an important manifestation of ancient Chinese thought and culture.Therefore,this paper attempts to research the aesthetic and cultural significance behind the image of "wing","squama" and "horn" from the perspective of the sea,land and air threefold spatial field imagination.So as to achieve diversified expansion of the research on divine animals.This paper constructs the whole text according to the logic frame of "image type--image origin--experience expression--connotations sublimation" by combining historical facts with theories.It is points out that the formation of the image of "wing","squama" and "horn" which are the important components of the divine animals in ancient China.That based on the ancient people's imagination of the sea,land and air.These three kinds of space fields provide rich nutrition for the connotation and value of divine animals,and greatly broaden the imagination dimension of divine animals in cultural connotation and aesthetic connotation."Image type" is mainly composed of winged animal's image,squamate animal's image and horned animal's image.It divides the images of winged animals,squamate animals and horned animals that appeared in ancient world.And takes the content of representation as the starting point of thinking,then summarizes the worship and imagination of the ancients after the representation."The origin of image" is built on the ancient people's exploration and imagination of the three-dimensional space fields of sea,land and air."Wing" reflects the ancient people's questioning of the sky."Squama"represents the meaning of life contained in the water."Horn" carries the ancient people's thinking about the breeding ground.Then the empirical expression takes the realistic implement form and the transcendental image as the entry point to studies the three kinds of image expression forms of "wing","squama" and "horn"."Connotation sublimation"takes the image origin and the experience performance as the argument to explore the"wing",the "squama" and the "horn" three types of images' formation of the unique meaning and value in the process of continuously development.The illusion and reliance of the "wing" represents the ancient people's pursuit and yearning for wandering,that divided into two states of flying without wings and flying with wings."Squama" was expressed by the archetypal features of being celestial and the origin of Prophetic Theology.In the symbolic world of "horn",it is associated with the succession of ethnic groups and individual circumstances.It becomes the pronoun of war and longevity.
