A Study On The "Corrections" In The Ninth Section Of Annotation To Shuo Wen Jie Zi

The ShuoWenJieZi(hereinafter referred to as "ShuoWen")compiled by XuShen of the Eastern Han Dynasty is the first dictionary in China that systematically uses the six-book theory to analyze the Chinese characters glyph and sounds,and explain the meanings of Chinese characters.It is the foundation stone of Chinese linguistics.However,since the book was Written in the Eastern Han Dynasty,after more than a thousand years of transcription,the errors has gradually increased,and it has already lost its original appearance.During the Qianjia Period of the Qing Dynasty,the Chinese Philology gradually prospered,and "the study of ShuoWen"entered its heyday.Many scholars who study ShuoWen focuses their research on the correctness of ShuoWen,and strives to restore the authenticity of Xu Shen's book.Among them,the person who achieved the highest achievement was the literary scholar Duan Yucai.His"ShuWenJieZi Zhu"(hereinafter referred to as "DuanZhu")focuses on correcting mistakes and supplementing the lost,with the "JinZheng" as a symbol,extensively studying a number of classic documents,and comprehensively using the knowledge and theory of philology,exegesis,phonology,and collation,have carried out a comprehensive and systematic study of ShuoWen.The book has achieved remarkable achievements in analyzing glyphs,interpreting the meaning of Chinese characters,and recognizing the sounds,and has high academic value.This article is based on "ShuoWen" revised by XuXuan(usually called DaXuBen)published by the Zhonghua Book Company in 1963,and extensively refers to "ShuoWen"revised by XuKai(usually called "XiaoXuBen")and other classic documents and books and then compare Da Xuben with the ninth article of DuanZhu(the version collected in the Jing Yun Lou of Duan Yucai)and proofread one by one.Finally we sum up 213 changes with practical significance,and use these changes as the research object of this article.We divided these"Corrections" into four types:Correction with words;Correction without words;Correction within words;The comparison of Lianzuandu and Sanziju.Depending on the specific content of"Jianzheng",the first three chapters can be categorized into several types:to correct the shape of the character;to correct the meaning of the character;to correct the structure analysis and pronunciation analysis of the character;to correct the quotation of character and to correct variant Chinese characters and so on.We comprehensively use a variety of collation methods to conduct a one-by-one analysis.If the research is insufficient or the analysis is unclear,we temporarily mark it as "Be in doubt."In the last chapter,through the induction and analysis of the first few chapters,a brief evaluation of the ninth article "JinZheng" of DuanZhu is made,and we strives to be realistic and objective.This paper holds that Duan Yucai's unique language view,words view and the method of exegesis of "Among the three meanings of glyphs,sound and meaning,if you know any one of them,you can use this to verify the other two",and the theory of collation,provide valuable ideas and inspiration for later studies.
