The Generation For The Supplement Of Morning News And Chinese Modern Prose

Since the reform of the Morning News in February 1919,the achievements of theoretical advocacy and creative practice have contributed to the generation of modern prose.Especially in the period from 1920 to 1924,the Supplement of the Morning News became the most influential publication of modern prose before the "News",after "New Youth." However,the number of essays in the supplement of the Morning News is numerous,the content is complex,and the quality is mixed,resulting in fewer related studies.Therefore,this paper takes the "Morning News" supplement from the beginning of 1919 to the end of 1924 as the research object,and explores its relationship with modern prose.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main part of the thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly examines the supplement of the Morning News in the context of modern prose generation.Firstly,I will define the concept of modern prose.As a genre concept,modern prose is shaped in the "May 4th" period.It is a genre that is juxtaposed with novels,poems,and dramas.It mainly consists of two forms:miscellaneous and pure literary prose.Secondly,from the entire media context and the"Morning News" supplement,I went to investigate the publication of the "Journal of the Morning" supplement,highlighting the outstanding contribution of the "Morning News"supplement to modern prose.The second chapter mainly explores the relationship between the supplement of the Morning News and the miscellaneous prose.In terms of theme construction,the"Morning News" supplement has inherited the critical character of "New Youth","Responsible Record",and continued to develop the "Cultural Criticism" focusing on"cultural criticism" and deepening the theme of "social criticism" In terms of stylistic form,the misunderstanding of the Supplement to the Morning News explores the art form of misunderstanding with theory and creative practice,highlighting the characteristics of misunderstanding,discussion,logic,and other artistic techniques such as humorous satire to explore the sense of misunderstanding;The Morning News supplemented the development of new miscellaneous styles and contributed to the diversity of miscellaneous forms.The third chapter mainly discusses the relationship between the supplement of the Morning News and the American language.As an important position for the publication of the "Mei Wen theory,the supplement of Morning News published two articles "Mei Wen" and "Pure Prose" which provided a theoretical basis for the construction of a complete essay for modern prose;the "Journal of Morning News" supplement also presented Zhou Zuoren,Bing Xin,Xu Zhimo and others explored the language style of the diversity of American and Chinese,and showed the achievements of pure literary creation.
