A Report On Interpreting The Speech Of Zhang Ruimin' S "Creating Business Models For The IoT Era:Rendanheyri" From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

Researches and communications on innovation of business models have been on the rise with the global economic development.A Chinese innovative business model—Rendanheyi Model,is well recognized by scholars all over the world,revealing China's self-confidence in culture.Consequently the interpretation of the speeches in this area has great significance in international communication of Chinese culture.This report,based on the interpreting practice of Zhang Ruimin's speech titled "Creating Business Models for the IoT Era:Rendanheyi",explores interpretation strategies from the perspective of Skopos Theory.Four chapters are included in this report.Chapter 1 introduces background knowledge including the background information and significance of "Creating Business Models for the IoT Era:Rendanheyi" as well as the information of both the speaker and audience.Chapter 2 is the description of interpreting process of "Creating Business Models for the IoT Era:Rendanheyi”which involves preparation before interpreting,the interpreting process and quality control during the interpreting.In the third chapter,the author selects several typical examples to analyze and illustrate the strategies used during this interpreting process.Chapter 4 is the service feedback and experience summarization of this interpretation.According to the Skopos Theory,the speech interpreting aims to convey the information in validity and completeness.The author's interpreting practice is the interpreting activity of the speech "Creating Business Models for the IoT Era:Rendanheyi" delivered by Zhang Ruimin under the guidance of the Sokpos Theory.The major content of Zhang Ruimin's speech is conveyed to the audience,which achieves the purpose of speech interpreting.It is hoped that the detailed strategies discussed in this report would have valuable effects on the interpretation in similar situations.
