Listening and speaking is the foundation and focus of English teaching in primary and secondary schools.However,in the English listening and speaking teaching,there are problems such as teacher voice input and student voice output are non-standard,lacking of feedback data,lacking of classroom reflection,and single evaluation.The smart teaching environment provides feasible solutions to solve these problems.The smart teaching environment has the functions of standardizing the voice of the learners,providing feedback data,providing basis of reflections and evaluations,which provides the possibility to optimize the teaching of English listening and speaking in primary and secondary schools.Therefore,this thesis researches the designs,implementations and applications of teaching activities of English listening and speaking for junior high school in the smart teaching environment,aiming to optimize the junior high school English listening and speaking teaching by using the smart teaching environment.According to Gass' s Information Processing Theory and Second Language Acquisition Theory,this study divided English listening and speaking teaching activities into four types: layered listening activities,phonetic listening activities,follow-up imitation activities,and practice reflection activities.On the basis of determining the tasks and objectives of the teaching activities,this study designs organization forms,processes and evaluations of the activities and analyzes the role of the support of the smart teaching environment for each activity.Finally,this studychooses students from two classes in the first grade of a Junior high school in Hang Zhou as the object to analyze the effect of the teaching activities of English listening and speaking for junior high school in the smart environment from the following four aspects: test scores of "listening" and "speaking" between the experimental group and the control group,evaluations and interviews of the activities.Experiments shows that the teaching activities of English listening and speaking for junior high school in the smart teaching environment can promote the learners' ability of "listen" and "speak",especially in standard of speaking,competition of dialogue and fluency of speaking,but it is not significant on the effect of norm of tone and expression of emotion.Under the smart teaching environment,the design of the teaching activity of the English listening and speaking in junior high school is complicated.The design and application of the teaching activity of the English listening and speaking for junior high school in the smart teaching environment is a big research topic.Although there are certain discoveries in the design and application of English listening and speaking activities in the smart teaching environment,there are still some shortcomings.In view of the shortcomings of the research,the direction of subsequent improvement and improvement is proposed.
