Since the 1990 s,women painting has received more and more attention.Nowadays,women painting,with its independent perspective and distinct cultural appeal,has become a force that cannot be ignored in contemporary painting.Therefore,a correct understanding of contemporary women paintings is of great value in clarifying the development of Chinese modern and contemporary art.As a part of modern and contemporary art,how to grasp the time course of women painting and how to describe the position and significance of women consciousness from the changes and changes of forms and contents of different works in different periods,is the key issue to understand women painting.The author believes that we have reason to grasp the women painting since the founding of the People's Republic as a whole of contemporary female painting.For the development of Chinese contemporary women painting from 1949 to now,there is a general view that it is a process from "generality" to " self" and then to "freedom".However,these studies only describe the development of women painting and do not sublimate to the level of cultural principles.For this reason,the author uses the four-body evolution of symbolic rhetoric to summarize women painting into four stages of women expression: Metaphor period-social self,metonymy period-others self,synecdoche period-physiological function self,irony period-psychological self.In these four stages,the four majors of women ideology are negated and progressive,and the meaning of women painting presents a four-step negative association.—— metaphor establishes identity,metonymy emphasizes externality and negates identity,synecdoche emphasizes internality and negates externality,and irony negates the frame of reference established by metaphor.Only then can women truly enter into self-reflection.In this process,the women perspective has never been consciously self-conscious in the first three stages,and the form of irony marks the maturity of the women perspective.The women painting text takes the change of identity as the motive force,promotes the self-displacement and completes the self-regression.The history of contemporary women painting is a process in which women correct and interpret their own meaning.Each stage of painting is a reflection and subversion of the previous stage,and self-seeking eventually leads to self-deconstruction.
