This paper mainly studies the dissemination and acceptance of Chinese literary works in Indonesia.Taking Journey to the West,one of China’s four famous works,and Hanuman,the Indonesian work as an example,by comparing the two literary works,the author makes a detailed analysis of their similarities and differences and the understanding degree of Indonesians(mainly Wangjiaxi people)to Journey to the West.Through the methods of Library Consulting and field investigation,the author finally draws the following conclusions: After Journey to the West entered Indonesia through drama,cartoon,novel and TV series,Indonesians adjusted and adapted its contents according to the social background and readers’ preferences at that time,so as to enable Indonesian readers to better understand it.《 The connotation of Journey to the West.In fact,there are many similarities between Monkey King in Journey to the West and Hanuman,the same-name hero in Hanuman,Indonesia.For example,they all live in constant battles,but their aims and motivations are different.Monkey King fought to protect his master from going to the West to learn sutras,while Hanuman fought to save Sta.In the direction of the similarities and differences between the two protagonists,the author makes a deep and detailed study.According to the survey,the percentage of people who know about the works of Journey to the West accounts for 67% of the total number of people in China.Among them,32% were young people aged 16-25 years,46% were 26-35 years old and 22% were over 35 years old.The respondents were further divided into 21% junior high school students,34% senior high school students and 45% college students according to their educational level. |
