The life and adventures of a monk in Tang dynasty named Xuan Zang who made a 17-year journey to bring Buddhist teachings from India to China. Xuan Zang subsequently became a main character in the great Chinese epic Journey to the West. Basing Journey to the West, CCTV in Chinese mainland and TVB in Hongkong recomposed many editions, such as teleplays movies and cartoons. And some Japonic TV station recomposed many editions too, such as teleplays cartoon movies and cartoons. Especially in American Hollywood, HBC recomposed it to The Monkey King. The Monkey King shows American's independent thoughts, individual heroism, lawcourt mood and love. From these Hollywood moods, we can see American main value and inner ideology. When unscrambling The Monkey King, I use Edward W Said's orentalism and Antonio Gramsci's cultural hegemony to elucidate the west centerlism which is used in explaining ,introducing and comprehending the east. Through a citation of Samuel P. Huntington's 'The Clash of Civilizations', American's cultural hegemony is projected obviously . For changing this situation, as the precondition of the communication between the west and the east, multiculture offers more and more chances for China to shorten the gap between the west and rebuild the language system of the world.
