Concession complex sentence is a type of compound sentence.Compared with other types of complex sentences, the study of concessional complex sentences in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is relatively small, and it mainly focuses on the acquisition and error analysis of concessional complex sentences by students from different countries. There are few studies on the compilation of concessional complex sentences in TCFL textbooks, but the acquisition of concessional complex sentences by foreign students is not very good and the error rate is high. This paper takes eight kinds of concessional complex sentences as the research object, investigates the compilation of these complex sentences in the comprehensive textbook Developing Chinese and Experience Chinese, and eompares their advantages and disadvantages.Through HSK dynamic composition corpus and questionnaires, this paper further investigates foreign students1 acquisition of the eight kinds of concessional complex sentences, analyses the types of errors and the causes of errors related to textbooks, and provides some suggestions for the compilation of concessional complex sentences in Developing Chinese and Experience Chinese based on interviews with foreign students. At the same time,it also provides some suggestions for the compilation of concessional complex sentences in TCFL textbooks. This paper consists of five parts. The introduction part includes the purpose and significance of the study, literature review, research objects, research methods and corpus description. At present, there are many ontological studies on concessional complex sentences, but there are few studies on teaching Chinese as a foreign language, especially on the compilation of textbooks. This paper mainly uses statistical analysis, comparative analysis, error analysis and other methods to carry out relevant research. The main sources of foreign students’ corpus are HSK dynamic composition corpus and questionnaires.Chapter one investigates and analyses the selection, distribution and arrangement of concessional complex sentences in the two sets of textbooks Developing Chinese and Experience Chinese. On the one hand,it compares the selection and arrangement order of concessional complex sentences in Developing Chinese and Experience Chinese with the requirements of Grammar Outline and International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education, and analyses the rationality of the selection and arrangement order of concessional complex sentences in the two sets of textbooks. The selection of concessional complex sentences in the two sets of textbooks basically meets the requirements of each syllabus, but the arrangement order does not.On the other hand,it analyses the distribution and recurrence of concessional complex sentences in the two sets of textbooks. The arrangement and distribution of Developing Chinese is more uniform and scattered than Experience Chinese, and the repetition rate of the two sets of textbooks is relatively low.Chapter two examines the explanations of concessional complex sentences and the setting of exercises in the two sets of textbooks. This chapter analyses and compares the two sets of textbooks from the aspects of the Chinese and English interpretation, example sentences, exercise topic types and topic sizes. It is found that the two sets of textbooks are better handled in terms of Chinese interpretation methods and difficulty of example sentences.Other textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language can be used for reference. However, there are still some shortcomings, such as fewer analysis of confusing words, fewer exercises and single question s.Chapter three is an investigation of the acquisition of eight kinds of concessional complex sentences by foreign students. The investigation is divided into three parts.Firstly, this paper makes a statistical analysis of the occurrence times and errors of concessional complex sentences in HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus, mainly investigating the types of errors in foreign students’ concessional complex sentences and the reasons for the errors in the compilation of textbooks.Secondly, the acquisition of concessional complex sentences by foreign students is investigated through questionnaires, which are supplemented by the corpus statistics of the first part.It is found that it is difficult for foreign students to correctly grasp the semantics of concessional complex sentences and their semantie eonditions. Finally, six foreign students were interviewed to find out their views on the recurrence, interpretation, example sentences, exercises and overall design of concessional complex sentences in the two sets of textbooks.Compared with Experiencing Chinese, six foreign students preferred Developing Chinese. At the same time, they also put forward the need to increase the number of repetitions, reduce the difficulty of example sentences, and enrich the types of exercises.Chapter four is the suggestion of eompiling concessional complex sentences in TCFL textbooks.Through the comparative analysis of the first three chapters, this paper puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of concessional complex sentences in Developing Chinese and Experience Chinese, such as the increase of repetition rate and misuse of words, and the increase of questions and types. In addition, the article also points out that when compiling concessional complex sentences in TCFL textbooks, attention should be paid to choosing different sentence structures as grammatical points according to the syllabus and arranging teaching order according to the principle of "giving priority to syllabus and learning first".The grammatical points should be arranged evenly and dispersedly. We should adopt the explaining new interpretation methods from the old,pay attention to the comparison and analysis with other types of complex sentences, improve the repetition rate of concessional complex sentences everywhere in the textbook, and pay attention to the diversity and interestingness of exercises. |
