The story is one of the most effective carriers of cultural communication.Through the language full of humor and wit,the story visualizes the abstract spiritual connotation and popularizes the cultural symbols of the shackles.At the age when concentration is rare,the story is the most effective and lasting tool to attract attention in the ocean of various information.Narrative ability is also directly related to the strength of cultural influence.Cultural communication is based on cultural accumulation.The Hubei story is the most vivid expression of spreading Jing-Chu culture.This paper explores the construction of Hubei story from the perspective of narratology,whose topic selection is relatively original,which helps to broaden the views of Jing-Chu culture communication research.On top of that,narrating the story of Hubei also contributes to enhancing the soft power of Hubei culture,elucidating the spirit of Hubei and strengthening the cultural identity of the people of Hubei,thus helping enhance the external communication ability of Jing-Chu culture and Chinese culture.With the raise of Chairman Xi Jinping's "telling Chinese stories well" strategy,the number of articles on cultural communication with reference to the theory of narratology has gradually increased.The story is the content of the discourse.Expression without specific story text is like water without source.Discourse is the narrative method of the story.Without unified discourse expression system and novel communication channels that close to reality,it is impossible to create synergy,and it is impossible to give full play to the advantages of cultural resources.Although the way of telling stories is constantly changing,the "story essence" cannot exist without the cultural soil of its inheritance.Without choice and construction of the story sample,the complex cultural resources lack cohesion just as a heap of loose sand.This paper confines its discussion to four major questions of Hubei story:"what is it,how to say,how to choose,how to do".Along the analysis path of "narrative picture-narrative discourse-narrative sample-narrative communication",the article summarizes Hubei story featuring Jing-Chu culture from the perspective of time and space,and explores the discourse expression of Hubei story from three aspects:"cultural symbols,text expressions,cultural rituals".It is concluded that the construction of Hubei story sample should follow the principle of universality and rationality,and should reflect Jing-Chu culture's core spiritual connotation that "dare to be the first",and construct the type and motif of Hubei story including five dimensions:"Nature,History,Red,Contemporary,Humanity".In the end,focusing on the three aspects of "communication subject,communication channel,communication content",the paper discusses the communication strategy of Hubei story at the macro level.Through the stories of good people from all classes of society,the historical story of ancient sages and saints and the story of the development of technological innovation with the reform and opening-up policy,people's spiritual life will be enriched and achieve the goal of building a culturally strong province.
