Xi Jinping’s Important Discussions On Cultural Self-Confidence

Culture is the blood of the nation and the spiritual home of the people.Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC,the CPC Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core,has attached great importance to the construction of socialist culture,put forward "cultural self-confidence",and positioned "cultural self-confidence" as a more basic,deeper and lasting self-confidence among "four self-confidence".The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has raised the importance of "cultural self-confidence" to a new level,emphasizing that "without high cultural self-confidence and cultural prosperity,there will be no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation".At present,the proposition of "cultural self-confidence" is a new proposition in Marxist theory,and it composes a new chapter of Marxist cultural thought."Cultural self-confidence" is not only a slogan and a theoretical term,it can reflect the essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture,but also highlight the important role and value of revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture bred in the process of China’s revolution,construction and reform.Therefore,Xi Jinping emphasizes that strengthening cultural self-confidence is the inevitable requirement of the development of the times,the country and the socialist system itself.We must constantly cultivate and strengthen cultural self-confidence so as to internalize it into the heart and externalize it into practice.With cultural self-confidence to condense the soul of the Chinese nation;with cultural self-confidence to promote national governance and social development;with cultural self-confidence to communicate with the world civilization on an equal footing and make common progress,and ultimately realize the great cause of the revival of the Chinese nation.This paper mainly studies Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence from four parts:The first part mainly elaborates the purpose and significance of studying Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence,the current research situation and development trend at home and abroad,and the innovation points.The second part,from the perspective of Marx and Engels’cultural thoughts,Lenin’s cultural thoughts and the cultural thoughts of the Chinese Communists,analyses the theoretical origin of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on cultural self-confidence,and from the needs of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,promoting the soft power of the national culture,strengthening the security of our ideology and promoting the coordinated development of culture,economy and society.Four aspects of its needs are discussed in this paper.The third part systematically combs the basic content of value judgment of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on cultural self-confidence,mainly from four aspects:the importance of cultural self-confidence,the status of cultural self-confidence,the essence of cultural self-confidence and the path of strengthening cultural self-confidence.The fourth part,on the basis of deeply grasping Xi Jinping’s important exposition on cultural self-confidence,analyses the contemporary value of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on cultural self-confidence from both theoretical and practical dimensions.
