Xi Jinping's Important Discourse On Cultural Self-confidence

In the modern society with more and more developed information technology,culture can play an increasingly important role.Challenges and opportunities coexist in the world pattern,forcing us to constantly enhance the comprehensive national strength,the key is to improve the national cultural soft power.After 40 years of reform and opening up,China is now committed to the all-round development of economy,politics,culture,society and ecological civilization.The material life of the people has achieved great development and prosperity.Accordingly,cultural support and development are necessary.By exploring the formation process of Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence and its theoretical sources,this paper explores the significance and theoretical value of Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence,and puts forward a series of basic ways to enhance cultural self-confidence.The proposition and development of Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence is the process of continuous development and improvement of his socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era,as well as the result of continuous exploration and progress of his socialist theory with Chinese characteristics.Xi Jinping’s cultural self-confidence is an important exposition.Guided by Marx’s scientific theory,he absorbed the essence of traditional culture,absorbed nutrition in the recollection and Introspection of the revolutionary era,and guided us to build a socialist society with Chinese characteristics.This important exposition not only has distinct Chinese characteristics,but also constantly improves itself to adapt to social development and innovates with the times.Cultural self-confidence is of great significance to national development,social construction and human development,which is also the purpose of our study.Xi Jinping’s cultural self-confidence is the focus of this paper’s discussion on how to promote the prosperity of socialist culture.This paper elaborates from six aspects: first,we should treat Chinese traditional culture correctly,dig its essence,carry forward its traditional virtues and put them into practice,keep pace with the times in the process of criticism and absorption,weed out the old and bring forth the new;second,we should treat foreign culture correctly,neither blindly adoring foreign cultures nor blindly resisting the old,but selectively drawing lessons for our use;Thirdly,we should carry forward the socialist core values,firmly cultivate new people of the times who are responsible for national rejuvenation,integrate the socialist core values in an all-round way and in a deep-seated way,and implement the measures more carefully;fourthly,we should speed up the reform of cultural system,adhere to the development direction of socialist advanced culture,and strengthen the soft power of national culture;fifthly,we should constantly promote the culture.Sixth,we should comprehensively strengthen the Party’s leadership over culture,strengthen the Party’s theoretical propaganda and ideological education,control news and public opinion,maintain network security,and earnestly strengthen the Party’s leadership over the work of philosophy and social sciences.These six aspects discuss how to make cultural self-confidence serve the construction of socialist culture better from the content,direction and path of Xi Jinping’s important exposition of cultural self-confidence.
