Xu Xu's Novel Research From Cross-cultural Perspective

As one of the important writers in Chinese literature in the 1940s,Xu Xu was known as a "ghost talent" in the literary world.His works are abundant in number and diverse in subject matter,including novels,poems,essays and dramas.His works such as "Gui Lian",“Feng XiaoXiao" and“Jiang Hu Xing"are widely known in the literary world.Influenced by social environment,personal personality,Chinese and foreign culture,religion and other factors,Xu Xu gradually formed his own cross-cultural vision.The dialogue between diverse cultures,the common experience of diverse cultures,and the pursuit of transcending diverse cultures are the three levels of his cross-cultural vision.From simple communication and dialogue,to the contradictions and conflicts between diverse cultures,to seeking for the co-existence and symbiosis of diverse cultures,Xu Xu gradually explored the path of cross-cultural development from the shallow to the deep.Irn addition,Xu Xu used artistic techniques,such as alien image,narrative mode of watching and being watched,and vagrant novels,to express his cross-cultural vision.In his works,multi?culture establishes connections through images of different ethnic groups,strengthens mutual understanding through the mode of seeing and being seen,and shows the spiritual pursuit of culture through the mode of wandering.Facing the collision and conflict of diverse cultures,Xu Xu attempted to resolve the conflicts of personality by seeking the commonalities between cultures.Compared with other contemporary writers,he handled conflicts in a more gentle way.Xu Xu intercultural vision not only provided a perspective for correctly viewing multiculturalism,but also provided more new research directions for multiculturalism.He promoted the globalized process of Chinese literature and showed the power of Chinese scholars on the way forward of world literature.Due to personal and historical reasons,Xu Xu cross-cultural vision was also limited to some extent,for example,his characters were too stereotyped.But overall,Xu Xu cross-cultural perspective is of great significance and research value.
