Church universities in modern history have played an important role in the spread of Western culture and have now become the consensus of the academic community.However,the Christian universities that have developed in Chinese society are not only the institutions that spread western learning.Some of the departments of Sinology of the Christian University have also done a lot of work in the study of Chinese cultural history.With the passage of time,although they have sunk into the long river of history,their role in the teaching and research of Chinese language,literature,history,and philosophy cannot be ignored.Moreover,campus journals published by the Christian University as a carrier of Sinology studies not only enriched the campus culture,but also had a positive impact on the academic community at that time,and provided a unique perspective for us to further inspect the overall appearance of modern Chinese literature.This dissertation selects the Sinology research of University of Nanking of Christianity as the research object.Through the excavation and reproduction of historical materials,it focuses on literary studies,sorts out the background,development overview,and literary activity investigation,and further studies its research in Chinese culture.The Significance and Contribution of Chinese Modern Literature HistoryThis paper is mainly divided into three parts:In the first part,the origin and basic situation of the Chinese Studies at China Missionary University are mainly based on the historical and cultural backgrounds of the research on the Sinology of the Missionary University,the development factors of the research on the Sinology of the Missionary University and the basic survey of the Sinology of the Missionary University.To sort out the core issues of the research on the Sinology of the Christian University.In the second part,the investigation of literary activities in the Sinology study of University of Nanking is centered on the creation of the Institute of Chinese Culture established by University of Nanking,the creation of campus periodicals,and the creation of famous scholars.It specifically examines the literary activities in the Sinology study of University of Nanking.The third part,the characteristics and significance of the study of Chinese studies in University of Nanking,while exploring the general situation of Chinese studies,highlights the characteristics and significance of the study of Chinese studies,and draws the significance and value of the study of Chinese studies in University of Nanking.The final appendix is University of Nanking's literary edition and publication,University of Nanking's Institute of Chinese Culture,and other lists.
