White night, hidden in the day.Guided by "twins",the fate of the characters is constantly superimposed in the psychological schema of the struggle of Desire under the alternation of Day and Night. This article is based on Lacan's psychoanalysis theory and the internal logic of the relationship between characters.Starting from the mirror-image relationship between the protagonists, the author interprets the relationship between the desire of protagonists and others. Finally, the author puts it into the social field to set up plots and symbolic meanings. From self to others and then to social reality, the analysis of characters is carried out in the progressive narrative context. In the first chapter, according to the "twins image" in the works, the mirror image relationship between the two brothers' fate is explored from three aspects: self-illusion,aggression and alienation of the subject.First, the author explores Guan Hongyu's character construction.Through the image processing of mirror function in the play and Lacan's analysis of Guan Hongyu's self-fate,this paper reveals the subject anxiety that he can't prove himself in the illusion of "mistaken recognition".Then, the focus is turned to Guan Hongfeng's self-identity.From the aggressive plot representation between Guan Hongfeng and Guan Hongyu in the play,to the power control under identity sharing, and to the metaphorical setting of "suicide" plot in self-aggression,this paper analyses the narcissism connotation in Guan Hongfeng's identity structure. Finally, the paper returns to the principal relationship between the two.In Lacan's interpretation of "I am the other person",the author restores the source of conflict between the two through the functional analysis of "the other".Finally, under the beautiful narration of the theme of "growth",the author digs out the sad metaphor behind the image for the hero's alienated destiny. In Chapter Two,combined with Lacan's theory of desire, the author introduces different characters in three parts: father symbol,self-ideal and female disguise, and interprets the desire structure between them and the protagonist.Firstly,in the hero's tame experience of the order of patriarchal law,it leads to Liu Changyong's lost father image in the family relationship, and then makes an analysis of the logic of desire of the four people including the hero.Secondly, taking "self-ideal" as the key to the analysis of Zhou Tour, this play reveals the contradictory relationship between him,Guan Hongyu and Guan Hongfeng from the three identity semantics. Finally, from the theoretical perspective of personality differences, the female characters in the play are expressed in their materialized images, female characteristics and masculine disguise, which shows the female images in the male perspective. In the third chapter, the characters are placed in the modern context of urban society. The author uses relevant theory of "reality" to analyze the plot setting and symbolic composition of the play from the perspective of traumatic regression, alienated social groups and urban landscape.Starting from Guan Hongfeng's "phobia of melanoma",the author explores the unconscious weaving of reality and reality cracks in his repeated returns to traumatic experience, and, analyses the actual presentation of the real world's punishment and threat to Guan Hongfeng in the play as a form of "response".After that,it focuses on the realistic discussion of social issues in the play.Choosing the corresponding roles under the theme of "marginal characters, delisting status and hierarchy" reflects the image significance of the play's social concern in the expression of characters and plots. Finally, the author interprets the symbolic of the city. The "cold other machine" in the play is used as keynote of image to show its symbolic meaning and human penetration in the specific cases of urban landscape and ecological landscape. This paper attempts to explore the unconscious structure hidden in the characters' images through Lacan's psychoanalysis, supplemented by mirror language analysis and plot description. At the same time, the author hopes that this humble work can contribute to the comprehensive study of Day and Night.
