With the diversification of Japanese film art style in form, the voice of "Japanese film needs to be changed" has also risen. In the Japanese film market, film and television works represented by "innovation" and "rebellion" have gradually attracted the attention of the crowd.Among these Japanese film works, the new modern director Shion Sono.Wen has gained considerable exposure in the public view due to his grotesque and distinct work tension, which has aroused domestic and international attention and controversy, and has become a pioneer figure in modern Japanese black film.In the exploration of film theory, with the importance of film texts being deeply excavated,Film Semiotics has become an important tool for film theory research. The particularity of film decides that it is destined to be a complex and changeable symbol system.Unlike the symbol system in linguistics, the symbols appearing in images have great initiative in picture and expression.Through the successive interventions of structural functionalism, systemic functional linguistics and psychoanalysis,Lacan's mirror theory helped complete the transformation of Film Semiotics from the first semiotics to the second semiotics, and became a semiotic system with image as its research object. In the research of this paper, the author takes the Film Semiotics as the research foundation and directs Shion Sono's works as the object.Starting from the film narration and audio-visual language such as story content, narrative structure and color composition, the author combs and integrates the similar symbolic elements presented in director Shion Sono's works, which can be roughly divided into character symbols, state symbols, religious symbols, animal symbols and food symbols. The above seven kinds of symbols are object symbols, color symbols and audio-visual symbols,so as to deepen the understanding of their film language.Meanwhile, with Lacan's mirror theory and the analysis of the narrative and metaphorical functions of relevant symbols in black movies,we can deepen the understanding of Lacan's mirror theory and the intertextuality of film theory, establish the typical symbols of relevant black movies, and then become related types of movies.Creation provides theoretical basis and reference value, and improves the multi-level study of Shion Sono 's film aesthetics.
