Research On The Thoughts Of The Three Scholars During Huangyou Period

The three scholars during Huangyou period refers to three Wenzhou scholars who were active in Northern Song Dynasty around Huangyou period(1049-1054AD)of Emperor Renzong,they are Wangkaizu,Linshi,Dingchangqi,The ear in which they lived was a crucial period for the rise and development of Song-xue.They take Six Classics as their teacher,emphasize the interpretation of Confucianism;in the meantime,they also pay attention to the reality and advocate the practice of the ancient road;Especially Wangkaizu,whose thoughts have not yet penetrated into the study of life and morality in the inner sanctuary but mainly based on the interpretation of Confucianism and the righteousness to clarify the way of governance,which more inclined to the study of the external-sage.The thoughts of three scholars include the feelings of Confucianism which hold Confucius and Mencius in high esteem,and they advocate govern the country by what they learned from the Six Classics;besides,they take an inclusive attitude and have no prejudice against the other school.They all chose to live in their hometown Wenzhou and write books,teach students,and advocate Confucianism.They are the earliest batch of township teacher in the Wenzhou area of the Song Dynasty who have made an important contribution to the cultural and educational undertakings of the Wenzhou area in the Song Dynasty,and they are the important source of Yongjia study;the thought of pragmatic and practical work in the three scholars' academic interest has had a profound influence on the Yongjia scholars in the Southern Song Dynasty,which laid the foundation for the thought about feats of Yongjia School,and they are the well-deserved ancestor of the Yongjia School;the three scholars,especially Wamgkaizu who first proposed “Dao-xue”at the beginning of the formation of Song-xue is the pioneers of Song-xue.
