In the context of information technology,the classroom teaching method is undergoing a revolutionary change.New teaching modes,such as blended learning,flipped classroom,micro-course and maker space,are gradually entering the education system of the schools.Our country is without exception.The “Internet + education” mode has been the trend of education informatization reform.Blended learning will be more and more widely used in teaching practice.Since 2016,pad classes have been set up in Yantai No.3 Middle school,where the author works,and the exploration of blended learning in high school English teaching has been carried out by means of intelligent teaching platform such as 12 XUE platform,so as to improve students' enthusiasm and initiative in learning and improve students' English application ability.Therefore,having reviewed a lot of Chinese and foreign literature,the author carried out a research on the application of blended learning in Yantai No 3 Middle School.Taking blended learning in high school English as the research topic,this paper mainly contains the following research questions: teachers and students' attitude and cognition towards blended learning in high school English teaching,how blended learning is carried out,the effect of blended learning and the existing problems.The participants of this paper are 25 English teachers and 180 students in this school.Questionnaire,interview,and classroom observation are adopted as research instruments of the paper.First the author carried out the study by questionnaires.Then,five teachers and five students are chosen for the interview.Moreover,during the process of the research,the author observed 4 English classes to figure out the implementation of blended learning and existing problems.Through research,it is found that on the whole,teachers and students hold a welcome and supportive attitude to blended learning.The advantages such as flexible learning methods and meeting the needs of students of different learning levels have greatly improved students' interest and learning effect,and teaching effect has also been improved.However,there are still some problems in the application process,for example,some teachers lack deep understanding of blended learning or hold a passive attitude in preparing lessons,and students with weak self-control ability don't perform well in the process.To solve the problems above,the author puts forward the following suggestions.First of all,educational administration departments and schools should take measures to improve teachers' professional and technical abilities,and all kinds of competitions and mode courses should be actively held to provide teachers with more opportunities to exchange teaching experience.Second,in the “Internet +” background,the class should formulate reasonable rules and regulations to strengthen the management of pads.Teachers should focus on cultivate students' consciousness of individualized learning and self-management.
