The Stylistic Research Of Xiao Hong’s Novels

Xiao Hong is an outstanding female writer with her own personality in the history of modern Chinese literature.Her works have the unique style.She insists on her own “fiction theory”,with the conscious consciousness of style,and constantly explores new art forms,creates the unique “Xiao Hong’s style”.According to the research on literary theory,style actually involves three different levels: genre,style and style.These three categories are not only related,but also different from each other.They constitute the characteristics of stylistic presentation.Writers with the conscious consciousness of style will make their own beneficial exploration on aesthetic pursuit,theme selection,language style and overall style.The existing researches of Xiao Hong’s novels are mainly from the aspects of mutual infiltration of styles and language style,etc.,which relatively ignore the significance of style for "Xiao Hong’s style".This paper takes the style of Xiao Hong’s novels as the research object.I will combine the stylistic knowledge and the research method of “Close Reading”,in order to present the unique language art,rhetoric art and narrative art of Xiao Hong’s novel.The novels of Xiao Hong Style have unique type of writing.First of all,it is reflected in the language description.Xiao Hong’s language is fresh and natural,light and flavored,and contains poetry.Her language shows a deviation from the conventional grammatical norms and achieves the effect of "strangeness".Her choice of words and sentence-building all present bright and fresh features.She is good at using the rhythm and cadence of voice to convey the sentiment same as the poetry through the fluctuation and euphemism of voice.At the same time,there are strongregional language and critical satirical language in her novels.Literary style has strong lyricism and expressiveness,and often conveys feelings that can be explicable but not explicable and explained but not explained.Xiao Hong consciously uses flexible and diverse rhetorical devices in her novels,such as personification,metaphor,repetition and symbolism,to depict the situation of the scenery,convey the author’s inner feelings,and express vague and profound connotations.She does not pay attention to linear time narrative,complete causality,smooth plot development.Instead,she dilutes the plot of the novel through the psychological description of monologue and the scene description of "sketch".In her novels,the interaction and transformation between the first person and the third person,i.e.the narrator and the characters,make the monophonic narrative discourse become the two-tone narrative discourse.She is an experiential and sensory writer.She insisted on her creative idea and aesthetic pursuit in her novel creation.The overall style of her novel is desolate,but there is a touch of warmth on the desolate background.Her novels are characterized by the delicacy and softness of female writers,the beautiful language and the emotional description of scenes.Therefore,the style of the novel is full of poetry.
