With the development and progress of modern network technology,the distance between the Internet and people is getting closer and closer.It has changed people's learning and life style,penetrated into all aspects of people's life,and brought extraordinary convenience to people.Meanwhile,it has also brought some potential negative effects to people.Adolescents are immature in physical and mental development,with strong self-awareness,weak self-control and weak ability to distinguish right from wrong.Faced with a colorful network world,they can't resist the temptation and easily indulge in it,which leads to bad behavior of network usage.According to statistics,the probability of teenagers' over-reliance on the Internet is 5.4%in China.Pathological internet use seriously damages the physical and mental health of teenagers,thereby causes a series of physical and psychological problems,which has aroused the concern of all sectors of society.Previous studies have stated that the alienation of peer relationship can lead to pathological network use in teenagers,and the unsatisfied needs of peer relationship and other relationships may lead to the hindrance of individual self-regulation and the fear of missing out.Therefore,this study intends to explore the relationship between teenager peer relationships and pathological internet use,to examine the mediating role of the fear of missing out in the relationship between the two,to reveal the influence of peer relationships on adolescent pathological internet use and its mechanism of action,and to use group psychological counseling intervenes on the level of the fear of missing out among adolescents,and then explores the effect of group counseling on reducing the level of the fear of missing out among adolescents and improving the use of pathological networks in adolescents.In the first study,questionnaire survey was adopted to conduct a cluster sampling survey on the students in two high schools in Wuhan,to understand the adolescent's peer relationship,the level of fear of missing out and pathological intermet use.The results show that:(1)the teenager pathological internet use can be significantly and negatively predicted by peer relationship;(2)the relationship between peer relationship and adolescent pathological internet use was partially mediated via the fear of missing out.On the basis of the first study,a group psychological counseling program was designed for the fear of missing out in the second study.The experimental group and the control group were set up,and the test results of the two groups were compared at the end of the group psychological counseling program.Results showed that the group psychological counseling program in this study had certain effects.The experimental group showed decreased in the level of the fear of missing out,and the pathological internet use was alleviated.
