Research On Space Narration Of Su Tong’s “Xiangchunshu Street” Novels

As one of the representative writers of the new era,Su Tong has multiple identities such as avant-garde writers and new historicist writers.His "Xiangchunshu Street" series of novels has always been the subject of literary attention and discussion.These works revolve around the fixed space of "Xiangchunshu Street",based on childhood memories,and depicting the deadlock of family,the cruelty of youth,the domination of desire and self-redemption.Su Tong is good at spatial narrative,and provides a new research perspective for Su Tong’s novel narrative from the perspective of spatial writing.This paper starts with the space construction in the series of novels of Xiangchunshu Street,explores the narrative strategy and function of Su Tong in space narrative,and analyzes the uniqueness of Su Tong in using space writing to shape characters.In the introduction,from the origin of the topic,the current situation of research,and the meaning of research to explain the theoretical definition of "spatial narrative." The text is divided into three parts.The first part focuses on the way,strategy and function of the space construction of Su Tong’s series of novels,that is,how to solve the problem of how space participates in the narrative of the series of novels.From the space form,we classify the space places that constitute the " Xiangchunshu Street " and summarize and analyze Su Tong’s narrative strategy in space writing and the influence of space writing on narrative.The second part focuses on the relationship between space and character image creation.From the perspective of space,we divide the male characters of "Xiangchunshu Street" into groups,specifically analyze the unique role of different spaces in the shaping of characters,and explore the shaping influence of characters from the aspect of spatial writing.The third part is the analysis of social spiritual culture,looking for the social and cultural values behind the spatial narrative of Su Tong.Here,space surpasses its own natural attributes and also has social attributes.Su Tong’s use and emphasis on space in narrative reflects the social attributes of the characters themselves presented in space,and the indifference of the relationship between people,through which individual anxiety and spiritual difficulties are transmitted.The research on the spatial social attributes of the series of novels of " Xiangchunshu Street " reflects Su Tong’s unique humanistic concern for reality.The spatial narrative analysis of Su Tong’s "Xiangchunshu Street" series of novels is not only an analysis of Su Tong’s fictional psychological source,but also a certain degree to test and enrich the spatial narrative theory.Su Tong created a unique literary world through the unique writing of space."Xiangchunshu Street" is an important support for the "South" in Su Tong’s literary world,and is also the spiritual home of Su Tong’s sentiment and values.The "Xiangchunshu Street" series of novels has unique literary value and spiritual charm because of spatial narrative.
